Merlin’s Magic Wand is a worldwide charity for children and we arrange magical days out at Merlin Entertainments attractions.
Magical days out
We put the magic back into the childhoods of seriously ill, disabled and disadvantaged children.
We make this happen by arranging magical days out at Merlin Entertainments attractions, such as LEGOLAND Resort® theme parks, SEA LIFE Centres and Madame Tussauds.
On our magical days out, families have a chance to create long-lasting memories and take valuable time out from stressful daily routine.
Who can apply?
We welcome applications* on behalf of children aged 2-18 with a confirmed Serious illness/Long Term illness, disability* or disadvantage, who would benefit from a day out at a Merlin attraction.
Disadvantaged Classification
In foster care/recently adopted.
Child of terminally ill or recently deceased parent/legal guardian.
Child victim of abuse including domestic violence.
Registered Young Carer.
Magic Wand reserve the right to change, add or remove classifications at any time.
If you have received tickets from Merlin’s Magic Wand previously and were able to use them, then please be aware of the following:
As our Charity continues to help more and more children every year but our resources are not unlimited and due to a high demand for tickets we are only accepting applications from those families or children we have not previously supported/have not visited us before (this includes those families with additional children with disabilities/illnesses).
Our aim is to ensure that the maximum number of eligible children are able to enjoy a day out with us just as so many have already done.
It is not an objective of the charity to help other charities or organisations to raise money and so applications for tickets to be used for raffles, auctions or other fundraising, or for cash grants to other charities or organisations will not be considered.

* Child must be 2 years of age when an application is made. Applications must be made by an adult. We unfortunately we cannot accept individual family applications from those with a PO Box address.

Merlin’s Magic Wand provides tickets for children to enjoy a great day out. Please note we are unable to fund any overseas travel or accommodation.
Tickets are limited and may not always be available for every individual attraction, however successful applicants will always be offered a suitable alternative.
